“Ann was such a blessing. It was like having a loving mother come into our home and take care of us all. I couldn’t have done the 1st 6 months without her! She immediately brought a sense of calm and serenity to our chaotic stressful situation. Ann got right to work getting us organized and setting up stations around the house so that I wasn’t always running around for diapers, wipes, creams, and burp cloths. She was so understanding about my wish to switch from breastfeeding to formula. Ann tried to walk me through the process of successful breastfeeding, but I just wasn’t comfortable doing it and I was so grateful when she didn’t judge me for wanting to use formula. We had a hard time with getting our baby to sleep and Ann was a huge help with soothing techniques and sleep shaping. She was instrumental in settling us all into our new normal. If you need an educated, calm presence in your life, then hire Ann!”
“Ann from Tampa Bay Postpartum doula Svs was Our postpartum doula and I can’t imagine how we would have survived without her help. we have learned so much about how to care for our baby from her! Her help with breastfeeding and pumping was instrumental in me being successful and getting it right and being able to get over those early humps with breastfeeding. She was so kind, patient and respectful and I felt completely comfortable with her. Her compassion and wisdom during this intimate time in our lives has meant the world to us and we will be eternally grateful. I don’t know how we would have survived the last 3 months without her wisdom and knowledge. We can’t recommend her enough!!!”
“Ann is an excellent doula. She is both skilled and kind. Her compassion and work ethic is invaluable as a doula.”
“Out of a desire to have a healthy and welcoming home to our precious baby girl, I decided early on in my pregnancy with Zo that I wanted to have a postpartum doula by my side.
Typical Hospital childbirth in the US results in most new moms being discharged after just a couple days, not to be seen again for 6 weeks unless there are complications. This “six week gap” is where I needed the most support, and having Ann Maynard-Payne of Tampa Bay Postpartum Doula Svs come in with her skills, kindness and education has allowed me to really focus on building a special bond with my baby girl…”
“Ann was an absolute pleasure and an invaluable help to my husband and I when we had our first baby. She was extremely attentive, caring and loving with our son and she was also very in tune with what we needed. We can’t recommend her enough, she is the best!!”
your tampa postpartum doula
I’ve worked as a licensed social worker, educator, and nanny. I’ve been blessed to discover that my true calling is in working with families during the “4th trimester”. This time period is the 12 weeks (and sometimes beyond) after birth.
I am a mother of 3 beautiful children and one amazing grandson. Each of my postpartum periods was different, and I struggled the most with my last. I suffered from postpartum disorder and gained valuable knowledge about caring for myself during this period. After the birth of my grandson, I realized that I had a calling to help families during the postpartum phase. It can be a difficult and frustrating time, and this is where a postpartum doula can help tremendously!
